Play Safe, Stay Safe

The University Health Centre has been successful in securing some funding from The Queens Nursing Institute to help raise awareness of Men’s Sexual health. The project aims to deliver sexual health screening via drop in clinics in the Student union Advice Centre and through self-screening packs which will be available around the University of Huddersfield and The University Health Centre.

The Queens Nursing Institute is a registered charity dedicated to improving the nursing care of people in the home and community and will be supporting this year long project.

Monthly Closures for Staff Training Sessions

The world of medicine is an ever changing one, which is why we need to ensure that all of our team members are up to speed with the latest developments, regulations and improvements in patient care. This includes our team of receptionists, who need, among other things, to be confident in their life support training, should there be an emergency in the waiting room.

To make this training really effective, we need to train the team all together at the same time. Consequently, on the third Tuesday of every month the surgery will be closed from 1pm and reopen as usual the following day at 8:15am. If you require medical advice or assistance please call the NHS service on 111. Please note all calls are free to this number.
